First off, hello!  Welcome!  I'm Joy, the face of JOY Photography!

I'm an artist through and through.  I have always enjoyed everything about art, and always have been amazed at the way that light can completely change a scene.  I loved it so much that I decided (against popular opinion) to pursue photography as a career, including going to college for it.  I decided to focus on maternity and newborns because I'm very patient and very good with newborns and their mommas.    Plus, after a few sessions, I started to seriously become known as a baby whisperer and that kinda sealed what I was meant to do.

But if you happen to not have a newbie, don't get discouraged.  I also photograph families, couples, seniors, children of all ages, and also recently started photographing women because I feel that we are not celebrated enough.  Every woman should have a chance to feel absolutely beautiful, and I am here to make that happen.

When not with a camera in my hands, you can find me spending time with my kids, planning trips, or writing poetry.
