As women, no matter where we're from we've been bombarded with images of what "beauty" should look like since a very young age. But the thing is, every single body is different. We all see ourselves and our flaws being so much bigger than they are.
Today I did a women's boudoir session for my friend that I've had since my days in medical school. (it's been a while). We talked about how she felt prior to the session, and she felt like she wasn't going to feel comfortable being practically undressed in front of my camera.
But the thing is, once we get over that fear of seeing ourselves, it can be absolutely fun. For her session, we got some coffee before the session, and then I did her hair and makeup, we blasted music and started photographing her. I was able to bring her personality out in her images and show her that not only was she amazing, but that she is beautiful and just didn't realize that about herself.
Every woman deserves to feel drop-dead gorgeous at least once in her life, and I'm here for it. Because the amount of confidence she had in herself after the session was awesome, especially when I showed her some previews from the view finder. I love that after our session together, she was able to really look at herself and see how beautiful she was.
These are the moments that make what I do worth it. So if you would like a session, feel free to contact me. I'm in Maumee, OH but I also travel as well, especially for these since many women are more comfortable being photographed in their own homes.
